HTG Anniversary Running Day!

On Friday the 20th November, 2026, we are holding a class 37 running day with both 37714 and D6700 offering 96 miles of haulage for £30! The timetable will be out soon but expect solo runs of both locos, top and tail, and double heading!

This will lead into the Diesel Last Hurrah on the Saturday and Sunday with another 4 trips. First train 1030 off Loughborough last arrival into Loughborough is 1830 approx.

We have had confirmation that the Griddle car will be in the coach set, serving the famous GCR breakfast, tea and coffee etc. We are looking at the option of a hot food choice later in the evening depending on demand. There will also be a Beer from the Magpie brewery with a commemorative label available. The HTG shop will be on board the train with HTG memorabilia, some limited to this event!

The event has a twofold purpose, one is to celebrate the 10th anniversary and secondly to raise money towards D6700’s upcoming repaint!

This is the perfect way to support this iconic loco and enjoy some 37 haulage at the same time!

Tickets will only be available from the HTG as all ticket sales will go directly to D6700. A one off commemorative ticket has been produced to remember the day.

Tickets will also be available on the day from a member of the Group, not via the GCR booking office subject to availability. Cash or card payment will be taken.
