On Friday the 20th November, 2026, we are holding a class 37 running day with both 37714 and D6700 offering 96 miles of haulage for £30! 37714 was the focus this weekend for some TLC. We have been carrying an intermittent field divert problem for a while, and now she is back on 6 traction motors the time had come to investigate and rectify it! A new revtel was fitted as this had been identified as having a fault, this partially cured the problem and a new speed switching module was swapped in and after a test run to Rothley brook and back, the faults were gone! This weekend (Friday 24th - Sunday 26th April) 2026 is the great central railway spring diesel gala. Both locos, 37714 and D6700 will be in operation the whole weekend with a mix of passenger and freight trains. Some services are even double headed / top n tailed by 37714 and D6700 together!
