Saturday Update!

Today saw the final push to get 714 back together,

First job saw all the relays and contactors get a good clean and spray of magic electrical stuff apparently.

The old oil and filters removed and new oil put in after a good check around to make sure nothing was amiss.

Then the moment of truth a start!

She started cleanly and ran like a dream, took power in both directions, the aux system worked as advertised, as did the brake system.

She moved under her own power around Loughborough station.

Once back in Diesel row and shut down another check around and all was good.

Next week we will disconnect her traction motors ready to hit Loram UK on the 13th for a motor change

Whilst there we will finish the B exam and she will return ready for service!

Once 714 is back, 6700 will have her B exam finished and new brake blocks.

That's all for this week, thankyou for your support as always!

Heavy Tractor Group.
