Weekend Update

Although the winter steam gala was in full swing, work still progressed!

On 37714, the A bank water pump is now off and is currently waiting to be sent off for overhaul.

It came off relatively easily, which is unusual for 714! All the pipework was then degreased and is waiting to get a coat of paint during the week next week .

The water pump removal table created by one of our members worked and is now at the mark 2 stage following a modification after use!

Hopefully, the water pumps and oil cooler will be ready next week or the week after ready for refitting onto the loco.

D6700 has remained undercover at Swithland, waiting for her B exam to be started. This was planned to start this weekend just gone, however due to a member having to cover Rothely signal box for the gala, this wasn’t possible, so it was all hands on deck with 714.
